This Saturday’s game has been canceled, it is estimated the school parking lot will not be fully cleared until Sunday.
Important Update 1
The KoN corporation and the Sparta Rec Department feel bad about the three games that have been canceled thus far. It has been determined that the last two missed games will be made up so all teams have a fair playoff placement berth.
We will accomplish this by having each team play (2) 20 minute games during the remaining weeks. Please check on Monday for the updated schedule.
Reminder
The playoffs are a privilege, not a right. At anytime the KoN Corporation reserves the right to terminate this privilege if they see too many teams getting out of line during the season.
Captains remind your teammates to “call their own foul” just like you would if you were playing at Ungerman or any other street court. Supervisors will also be issuing technical fouls more freely. 1st foul, you run a lap, your team plays with 4 until the lap is completed. Second technical foul and you are done for the day and your team plays with 4. Third foul and you are banned from the league. We keep track of Technical fouls during the whole season. (including playoffs)
As stated before, during the playoffs we have official referees calling fouls. Historically teams that foul heavy during the regular season do poorly in the playoffs so please tone it down.
Important Update 2
With all of that stern stuff out of the way in the spirit of competitiveness the KoN Corporation League Director has decided all teams will make the playoffs on March 8th this year. Regular season games are still important as they determine your teams placement in the playoff bracket. The first two series of games will be played with a 20 minute clock. The remaining series will be the regular 40 minute game time.
